Biloxi

We have been home for about a week so I am finally alert enough to post some pics from our trip. We started in Biloxi with Kyle's family. His mom arranged to have family photos taken on the beach which turned out great. I am so glad she did because now we have some recent photos of the entire family. Our family photo wall was getting really outdated so now we can update.

The girls had a GREAT time playing with their cousins. We took them to a local splash park one morning and just let them run around. We also had dinner at Kaara and Kurt's house where the girls played dress up and took a bath with all four of them. I wish we lived closer to they could play together more.

Emily was too funny, she could not get enough of her Granny and especially PaPa. She didn't quite get the Bepa yet but every other word was Papa. Samantha got to go to a movie with her Granny and for a mani pedi too. It was great family memories.

Soccer

Today was a Family Fun Day and the first day of soccer at Samantha's school. It was a great opportunity to meet other families and for the girls to run around. However I am not sure about Samantha and soccer. First off we need to buy some tennis shoes because she only has sandals and girly shoes. I sure hope they have some with sparkles. Then I made her wear shorts, so we had to pack a dress in the car so she could change in the parking lot before we came home. Luckily this week was just getting to know the coaches and kicking the ball around. Next week is the first "official" game. We will see how it goes.

First Day

We are back from our trip to the states (blog updates to come) and suffering from jet lag. Our flight arrived at 5:30 in the morning which makes for a tough day to stay awake. I decided to put the kids down for a nap at 10am and then laid down myself. We woke up at 4pm. What a nap huh? Luckily everyone was still really tired last night and went to bed at 8pm. Although the entire family was then up this morning at 4am. I am hoping tomorrow is more normal.

Samantha was so excited to start her new school. Since she got up at 4am there was lots of time to get ready and ask "when can I go to school?". In fact every 15 minutes or so for 3 hours. She put on her uniform and had her bag packed by 5am. I posted a few pictures from the drop off this morning. One if front of the country flags, the second is with her teacher (Mr. Balfour) and a family shot. She had a great first day. I am sure there will be more school stories to come.
